The 12th meeting of the DTP was held in Ottawa from 3 to 7 May 2009. The entire meeting, chaired by the DTP chairman LTC Manfred Hagen (JCBRN Defence COE), commenced with welcome speech from Lieutenant Colonel R. G. A. Barker, director Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defence from the National Defence Headquarters Ottawa.

Twenty five delegates from 12 countries and including the JCBRN Defence COE (which is heavily involved in DTP business), met in Canada to discuss the progress achieved in the development of several essential CBRN doctrinal publications. This progress was evaluated as more than satisfactory, however some challenges had emerged during syndicates as well as plenary sessions.

The next DTP meeting is going to be held to Copenhagen, Denmark, in October this year.
