The JCBRN Defence COE Steering Committee met on 21 – 22 April 2015 with the participation of representatives of the Sponsoring Nations, along with representatives from Allied Command Transformation, Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe, NATO International Military Staff, Weapons of Mass Destruction and Non-Proliferation Centre and the European Union Military Staff (EUMS).

The two-day meeting was held at Colonel János Zelenák Conference Room and Hotel Selský Dvůr, Vyškov and provided valuable discussions regarding future JCBRN Defence COE operations and increased participation by additional Sponsoring Nations and Contributing Participants.   A very important part of the meeting was the signing ceremony of the Letter of Intent between the JCBRN Defence COE and the European Union Military Staff culminating almost two years of staff work and negotiations. The completion of the Letter of Intent serves as an important milestone to pave the way for future cooperation between NATO and the European Union.

The next Steering Committee Meeting will be held in Vyškov, Czech Republic on 13 – 14 October 2015.
